Shawna is excited to introduce a selection of images from a series
she began two years ago. As she usually focuses on botanical images, TEA combines two of her great passions -
discovering all the varieties of tea and exploring abstract ways to portray plant life. Here, the tiniest of tea
leaves and flowers are exaggerated in scale to give the viewer an opportunity to appreciate the organic shapes
and subtle palettes that we don’t often get to see. This perspective captures intimate little worlds caught in
a moment of flowing activity. By presenting the prints as floating without boarders and glazed in resin, Shawna hopes
to continue the feel of the organic subject.
